ElkPoint 5 Ski In Out Durango Condo with Hot Tub

We planned a trip to Durango in about 15 minutes, had our truck loaded and were on our way! Most of the way to Durango from our corner of AZ was hit or miss service so I wasn't able to request to book this home until WAY late the same evening of check-in. We were so grateful that the host responded almost immediately! From the get-go, these guys were absolutely above and beyond. Checked on us everyday, made sure we were good, it was genuinely great service that matched a great home! The amenities are top notch! And the views are absolutely stunning! We did not utilize the resort amenities but we never felt the need to "leave home" once we got back from our adventuring. There were only 5 in our party but this place can sleep a village! It's located just outside of Durango, so you're close enough to walk around downtown and eat, but it's quiet and peaceful when you're ready to turn in for the night. You will not regret staying here 10/10

Literally just a few steps to the bunny slope and less than 100 yards to the express lift. Ski in right to the back door. Easily walkable to the Purgatory base area. Host was proactive and responded quickly to questions. Kitchen is well stocked and the cookware was in great shape. Beautiful views of the mountains. Hottub is smallish but wonderful after a day of skiing.

We had an awesome stay at this beautiful Purgatory Ski condo! Beautiful views, ski-in, ski-out location couldn't be beat! Access to the hot tub at the Purgatory Lodge was nice. We downhill skied, nordic skied, toured on skis in the mountains and had fun with our dogs. Cooked a bunch in the well-equipped kitchen and spent a lot of time with friends and family!

Even though the snow conditions weren’t ideal, we still had a fabulous ski weekend! Fabulous location- within steps of the main lift. We traveled with two other families and this property comfortably accommodated us all. The beds are super cozy! And the pool and hot tub were within walking distance which was a bonus for the kids! We would definitely stay here again!

Treys place was AWESOME! The ski in/out is a major luxury and we loved sitting in the living room watching skiers out of the huge windows. They decorated for Christmas and it made us feel right at home. We are already booking for next year!

We had 3 families (6 adults, 8 kids) for an annual ski trip and the house was almost perfect for us! We’ve stayed in 2 other ski in/out houses on the mountain in past years and this was definitely the best location. House was clean and ready for us a little bit early, and communication with the property manager was great. We will definitely consider renting again next year!

We had a great time staying at the condo. It was an easy ski in-ski out. There was plenty of room for everyone and the place was really clean and well stocked. Prior to the trip, we had questions and they were very responsive and helpful. Purgatory is an amazing family destination.

Access was easy, location and directions great. The house was clean and enjoyable to be in. They had extra blankets/humidifiers etc in every bedroom. VRC responded immediately to any issues/Enquires. The possibility of early check in would be nice as I have had this at other properties.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. We had a really nice stay at the townhouse. It is well furnished, the view is beautiful, and the beds were very comfortable. You can easily ski back into the house. While it wasn’t an issue for us, note that to get to the base and main lift you will need to make a short hike up the hill. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. Our only very minor critique is that the use of the Purgatory facilities wasn’t included. At other Elk Point units we have stayed in, this has always been included with the booking, and our friends staying a couple of townhouses over had access included with their booking instead of an additional $175 charge. We would absolutely stay again and recommend the unit.

Elk Point #5 delivers again. Rented back in 2018, and managed to secure it again for 2021. Accommodated our 2 large families of 12-total with ease. Can't beat the location...is truly ski in-ski out.

In a last minute decision, our friends joined us on a trip to the mountains. We were so excited to find our stay so easy to book and even more so when we walked in the front door. This place is amazing and fit every request we could’ve thought up. The property accommodated our group of 11 and there was still room to spare. Such a great, quiet location between Durango and Silverton. Don’t rethink it, just rent it.

The place we stayed was absolutely perfect. The resort (disclaimer: during COVID) was really disappointing this year. Places closing early and high school kids routinely getting food orders mixed up when the only available items on menu are pizza and wings.

We had such a wonderful time with our family staying at Elkpoint5. Thank you for leaving us the goodie bag by the way. It was a warm feeling to have the personal touch and we could tell that you take pride in your investment. We enjoyed being able to ski-in and out without having to drive to a different location. We had 12 people to use this unit and it was very nice to be able to have the room for everyone to have space. We had brought meals and to have the kitchen so well stocked we were able to cook for the family. We had a great experience and would book this unit again. Thanks again

This is the second year we have rented this unit in Elk Point. It is our favorite! It is right on the slopes, truly ski in / ski out. It easily accomodated our three families (total 6 adults and 6 kids). The furnishing is stylish and new. There are great views of the slopes and ski lifts. There are plenty of bathrooms and space for all to relax. We enjoyed watching the kids play in the snow apres ski while we relaxed by the fire. We look forward to returning next year!

I love Colorado in the summer time, and Durango is the perfect spot! After a couple of nights in town, we headed up the mountain to spend the rest of our trip at this beautiful and spacious condo. With two kids and another couple, there was more than plenty of room, and the floor plan is absolutely PERFECT for multiple or extended families. The kids loved the bunk room, and it was awesome to not have to worry about noise - either from them or from us! The third floor with the 2nd living area was huge, and so comfy for that late afternoon downtime. The house is beautifully decorated and you won't be missing anything; the owners have all the staples and toiletries stocked. As for location, I can't wait to come back to ski sometime, it is right next to the lifts! Literally just a couple minutes walk to the resort, restaurants and shops. Perfect size, perfect location; we had a wonderful time, and can't wait to go back!

We've been going to Durango Mountain Resort for years and have rented several different places. This was absolutely the best experience yet! This home easily housed 6 adults and 4 kids and provided multiple living areas for all of us to spread out. The unit was very well provisioned and the owner could not have been more accommodating. We can't wait to go back and would highly recommend this property to anyone headed to Durango!

This was our first family trip to Durango/Purgatory. We have been lifelong Crested Butte loyalists but are now forever changed! We are a family of 5; 2 adults and 3 kids (ages 16, 14, 10). Another family of 4 joined us; 2 adults and 2 kids (ages 16, 14). Wow! This vacation home is spectacular! To begin with...location, location, location! Can you say ski in/ski out? Literally, that is what we experienced here. We put our skis on at the back porch and just took off down the slope. At the end of the day, we skied right back to our door and clicked out of our skis and snowboards. As a matter of fact, the chairlift was nearly an arms length away. Amazing! This vacation home offered everything we needed and more. The kitchen, open to the living room, was fantastically appointed and spacious, with every small & large appliance available. Plenty of dishes and silverware for a large group, as well as seating for nine. The pair of living room leather couches were super cozy along with the remote controlled gas fireplaces (one in the master, too). At the end of the day, our group of 9 had no problem lounging around, taking in the incredible views of the mountain through the floor to ceiling windows, while playing boardgames/cards and watching satellite tv. The kids truly enjoyed the downstairs "bunk room" and we did too, knowing they were safe but not keeping us adults awake with their laughter and fun after we had turned in for the night! We all agreed that each of our beds was super comfy and we slept like babies. This home is three stories of awesomeness and we are thrilled to have found it. We will be back...you can count on it!
